As a critical infrastructure organization serving the scientific community for over two decades, they facilitate data sharing for climate research, oceanography, and other earth sciences.

However, their website was effectively excluding non-developer audiences from understanding their vital role in scientific research and collaboration.

THE CHALLENGE

OPeNDAP’s very old website ran on a custom HTML system that, while technically easy for developers to update, completely lacked design appeal for broader audiences.
